can't c Cotto fighting an elite as a small MW, he'll lose...Rubio should b the choice, 'specially if WBC pushes it & he has a fair chance to win, & like a few of the guys said, guys w/an elite name won't b on cotto's card...

Hold on now, he got bodied.

Cotto v Macklin would be a fun fight, and let's face it, it's the sort of fight Cotto should be taking as a voluntary. He would at least be defending his MW crown against a MW.

Cotto > Rubio (which rubio should be the first to get a shot)
Cotto > Macklin (macklin is ok but has no footwork and doesn't throw punches in bunches)

What? Macklin couldn't fight Korobov in 6 weeks notice but can fight this can in lesser time than that.

that would be hilarious if he fought rubio and rubio won. then floyd did his swoopty swoop and beat rubio. he's the best! golovking? who dat? floyd beat the linear champ he must be the best(yes they would actually say this like they did with baldomir).

Korobov is better and he's a southpaw

Dirty dodgy Eddie Hearn, first off he gets Burns a WBC ranked fight off for a title shot then Macklin, with the WBC yet again.it isn't too difficult to see who is lining whos pockets here.

Two guys I couldn't think of who least deserve another title shot.this is everything wrong with boxing.

I couldn't see Cotto fighting Macklin for the life of me. Completely useless fight, not PPV or anything like that. Doubt Cotto will make a reign at middleweight anyway as they'd have to fight GGG at some point which I don't think they will.

Unless he can get someone like Jr down from 168 again, Cotto will vacate before fighting Macklin.

I can imagine this fight going ahead and possibly Rubio too, getting Cotto a couple of good title defences before he defends against a truly viable opponent.
