Why doesn't team Maidana just call Floyd's bluff regarding gloves? They that hungry?

I personally think Floyd set a perfect example out of Maidana for trying to cheat with the first pair of gloves that were denied by the NSAC. Cheaters never win.

It should be noted though, that just that specific pair of blue Everlast MX brand gloves were denied. But Maidana could still wear Everlast MX, as long as they don't rip out the padding like the first time regardless of what Floyd says. If the NSAC grants them for use they by all means he can use them.

The issue here is that Ellerbe said Floyd will walk out of the fight if they choose to wear the MX gloves. Who knows if this is really true or not. Floyd's getting close to $80 million on the back end when it's all said and done, and Maidana is probably only getting some chump change and a few extra scraps (which is a lot of money for him). But then again Maidana is hurting bad, he has a baby and needs that Money Mat lottery ticket.

I honestly don't think Floyd would actually walk away and Team Maidana needs to call on that bluff if they really want to use their special little Mexican gloves. The fact that Team Maidana is hurting and are in desperate need of cash will determine if they do call that bluff or not.

I really wish they would of called his bluff in the first fight. But they chose to take money instead of standing their ground. Money that Maidana is now claiming he never received.

If Maidana and Garcia are such "ruthless badass thugs" like their fans claim to be, why not just walk in there with the gloves on and say "that's right, no MX gloves, no fight, up to you Floyd"? Instead we have ole Chino and his trainer begging Floyd to let them use their gloves.

Could you imagine the backlash Floyd would have received had he not gone through with the fight when the commission approved the MX gloves? He would of gotten sued like crazy. While I think the glove thing was a hoe move by Floyd, they lost all rights to complain IMO when they took money instead. If it was THAT important and THAT much of a sticking point then they should of stood their ground. There would be no way Floyd could defend it.

It's not a bluff. Floyd has to fight his opponents at a disadvantage:
          • Canelo had to fight at 152 when he was obviously still growing
          • Marquez had to fight at a weight 9 pounds higher than ever before and Floyd still came in 2 pounds over the limit
          • Hatton had to move up a division
          • Cotto had to be past his prime
          • Mosley had to be 38
          • De La Hoya had to be 34 and semi-retired
          • Maidana can't wear comission-approved, totally legal gloves

The only big-name fighters Floyd fought who weren't at a disadvantage were Castillo, Corrales, and Judah and many think Castillo won one of those.

I think Floyd would refuse to fight if Maidana didn't wear hot-air balloons at the end of his arms.

It's sad that you still have people ****** enough to believe he would have gone that route, it's obvious what occurred. I also know Maidana and Garcia never bought into the threat.

This goes to both. Why does maidana want thos gloves only?? If he is a puncher grants would do the job just well, and if he is confident he could beat hi lm anyways. And floyd to, doesn't he believe that he is so slick that maidana wont even touch him so why does it even matter what gloves maidana uses. Think people it's selling the fight

You keep on saying they tried to cheat, are you saying they tampered with the gloves, removed padding? And you think everlast would risk their rep for maidana by giving him gloves without padding? The everlast rep has said the blues gloves were the same model as the red ones. Tampering with gloves is a serious offense, wouldnt chino ad garcia be in trial on the verge of being banned and not granted a rematch??

If floyd is the TBE like he and his TMT cheerleaders claim that he is then his opponents gloves wouldnt matter because hes the TBE and defensive wizard that nobody can touch.

                  Health comes first doe.

Looks like Chino's own fans don't want him to call the bluff from the lack of responses.
