Legendary Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez, believes his son, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-1-1, 32KOs), could make 160 pounds for a major fight with WBC middleweight champion Miguel Angel Cotto (39-4, 32KOs) of Puerto Rico. Chavez Sr. says everyone loves the idea of a fight between his son and Cotto.
Chavez Jr. has been fighting as of late at super middleweight, eight pounds north of Cotto, and most don't expect him to return to 160. Cotto is small for the middleweight division and he is not expected to stay there for too much longer. Chavez Jr. is also still trying to work out his promotional issues with Top Rank.
