Chavez Sr. says everyone loves the idea of a fight between his son and Cotto.

Chavez Jr. has been fighting as of late at super middleweight, eight pounds north of Cotto, and most don't expect him to return to 160. Cotto is small for the middleweight division and he is not expected to stay there for too much longer. Chavez Jr. is also still trying to work out his promotional issues with Top Rank.

The Chavez family is risible. Jr. (a LHW now) ducked Golovkin at 168, but he's ready to fight midget Cotto at 160...

Cotto would probably ask for a catchweight and Chavez would be a zombie in the ring.

This is unfair in no world should they fight. A cruiserweight vs a junior middleweight wtf. Chavez will stop him late. He will get battered for 10 rounds walk through cotto shots then cotto gasses out then he stops him. He aint sergio chavez has the best chin in the business.

I think that's Cottos plan, to drain the **** out of Chavez and get another easy win.

I think Chavez Jr should be banned from 160- since he has missed weight so many times. That is not even counting the diuretics he has been caught using. Chavez Jr has not won a meaningful fight for over 2 years. See Andy Lee.
Cotto has so many options as the main draw, why would he even bring that name up?

Not the fight I want to see. This is what I want:

                    Cotto-FMJr. II
                    Cotto-Canelo
                    Cotto-GGG

The only way Ill take Chavez Jr. will be @160lb, with a hydration limit of 170lb by 6PM on fight night (let him get to whatever after that) and a Million if over those limits per lb (160 on weight in and, 170 @6PM next day).

Cotto skill wise > Chavez Jr. but Chavez is a very big kid.

Cotto aint fighting Chavez unleass Chavez beat Froch and Cotto would take the risk to win a belt at 168, besides that the fight aint happenng, Cotto weights 163 and Chavez Jr comes in at 190, that shit aint happening. And Cott will put in a rehidration clause if they ever fight, etc. So no its not happerning.

Cotto will wait to see how Maidana vs Floyd plays out and then he will decided, between, Nelo or FLoyd for May or Bradly in december.
