I gave round 2 to Canelo. I had it a draw, but I was worried it could have gone to Lara. Anyways, who cares, we're talking about splitting atoms now...it's not like either fighters stock rose because of this fight. Everyone needs to move on now.

You are definitely correct about neither fighter's stock rising. That actually surprise me though. Going into the fight I though someone was going to step away a star.

Lara did terrible in the 4-8 rounds. But he did fantastic in all the others. Upon 1st view,, I had it a draw, however sober Lara won the 12th. Canelo came out blazing, but Lara pieced him in that round with straight lefts and rights.

If it was a fight then Canelo won in my opinion by a good margin. If it was a foot race or a game of tag or hide and go seek then Lara won. Where was that beat down Lara promised? I can't remember when I saw a champion do that much flat out running away. Yes Lara is fast and skillful and landed a few sharp punches but he spent 90% of the fight running or holding. That's not the Cuban style. My favorite fighter when he was active was the great Cuban fighter Jose Napoles. He had a great defense but he seldom took a backward step and he never ran. I'll bet he is ashamed of the way Lara fought.

                  Looks like a bad scorecard... 10-10 5th and 6th amd Lara the 2nd,, I don't agree
