LSC is a belt holder so if he doesn't accept the challenge to fight Rigo then he's a paper champ who needs to step aside for someone who has the balls to become an undisputed titlist.
I hope he publicly states that he's on-board with the fight.
Then we'll see if Al Haymon blocks it.
Why not put this fight on the Mayweather-Maidana undercard? Rigo would be able to recover and ramp up again quickly after that one round exhibition in Macau.Comment

Regardless of whether he does or not, you posted that ever since Rigo was free Santa Cruz has been quiet as a mouse. Rigo's been free for 2 freaking days. What exactly was Santa Cruz supposed to do to make his interest clear, assuming he is interested? Fly to China and jump in the ring?
And I 100% believe Santa Cruz would fight Rigondeaux in a heartbeat. But he's an irrelevant 122 pounder signed to Al Haymon. He's not going to have much say in who he fights next. Whether Rigo is possible depends on who Rigo signs with.Comment

first of all I'm going by santa cruz most recent statements...........at first he was saying that he would fight rigo. and his most recent tune was "well why do i need to get into the ring with someone like that? he's boring. his style is too boring" that came directly from his mouth. and as the months came about (for rigo to leave top rank) he's been completely shut..........hummmm yes. so that proves cruz wants nothing (i mean nothing) to do with rigo. "his style is not good for me and it's boring"Regardless of whether he does or not, you posted that ever since Rigo was free Santa Cruz has been quiet as a mouse.
