Yep....exactly! Picked wrong fighter at wrong time...this is gonna be a tough fight for both guys. It's an interesting match up

Pac is being criticized too. Like I said, it goes both ways but there is no way anyone would be complaining on the same level as the Garcia fight. Salka is not even a contender, Algieri is a champ who just beat Prov. Algieri just like Khan would present some difficulties for Floyd as well.

It'll never be PPV worthy but it's a pretty good fight I'll be looking forward to. Algieri doesn't set traps well, needs to work on fixing his right hand but what he does have is that he's consistently on the move circling, punches whilst on the move, this will give him room to counter Pacquiao when Manny starts lunging in with the same repetitive attacks. Think Algieri will do pretty well and as mentioned Pacquiao isn't the same fighter anymore.
Algeiri could give Pacquiao trouble back in 2009.

its not about Pacquiao not being the same fighter anymore. He can still beat quality fighters like Bradley and possibly Marquez

its about looking good in a win or looking ugly in a win.

He will look ugly in a win against Algeiri

remember the other guy has to score points to win. People are focusing too much on what Pacquiao CANT do as oppose to what Algeiri HAS to do inorder to pull of the upset.

I'm with you on this, especially the bold. I don't see Pacquiao looking good but I've very confident he comes out victorious. Algieri just doesn't have a good enough right hand to go with his skills, doesn't set traps good enough. I know he isn't a puncher but I don't consider that as being much of a weakness since he knows how to stay on the move.

Nope. You have to look at Pac's last fight. He has slowed down but he is still elite. That's what it takes to beat someone like Bradley who is a better boxer than Algieri. Now if Atlas had said Maidana could be catching Floyd at the right time it'd make more sense because Floyd struggled a lot more than he should in their first fight. But hey, I'm rooting for Algieri. It'd be nice to see a huge underdog rise to the occasion.

They've been saying that about PAC for how many fights now lol. Don't bank on pac's age and war torn status, algieri better train hard and show up if he wants any chance of beating manny.

If that's the case, then why is Pac even being criticized for taking this fight? From the way you guys sound, it's almost like he's the underdog going in this match.

Algieri's mobility + height= could equal problems. In order to hit him Pacquaio is going to have to take some risks and quite frankly it's those risks that have had him looking bad at some points. This could go any number of ways, algieri's inexperience could make this an easy fight. Algieri's youth could be too much for an aging fighter at a height and reach disadvantage. Frankly don't know enough about Algieri to say which it'll be but stylistically this does not seem to be an ideal match.
