I hate this fight so much... some one of Pac's caliber should not be fighting Algeri or whatever his name is. This is beyond pathetic. Boxing will be better off without Scum Arum.

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao is either dumb as a motherfuccer or he is ducking the entire GBP/Al Haymon stable. Those are the only reasons i can think of why he re signed with Bob Arum.

Joke fight right here. Don't even try to compare this to Chino/Floyd. Marcos Maidana had at least shared the ring with Victor Ortiz, Adrien Broner, Amir Khan, Devon Alexander and Erik Morales. What has Chris Algieri done besides barely surviving against Ruslan?

The double standard is just too strong here smh

It's much better than Mayweather-Maidana II and Garcia-Salka.

If Maidana was never seen as a threat to Mayweather, then why should it matter if he shared the ring with those guys? At least in Algeiri's case, he's an undefeated champ who just beat a dangerous opponent...and whose style is not tailormade for Pacquiao. Why should Floyd fight somebody who is not only not much of a threat to him but also who he just beat? There's no way anybody can justify that. Despite Pacquiao's limited opponents, it's Floyd who's fighting the same opponent instead of other options like Thurman and Porter (two rising, undefeated welterweights).

Clown, this has nothing to do with Arum!!! Floyd is protecting the "0", and has stalled for more than 5 years; won't fight Manny. Marquez wants that 147 title yet now that Manny owns it, Marquez won't fight Manny. Devon just lost. Khan has beaten nobody credible since 2010. So that doesn't leave many options. This isn't an Arum issue. Manny fought Rios at the time because Floyd, Bradley, wouldn't fight Manny. Rios gets best up, Manny gets Bradley because Floyd and Marquez still won't fight Manny, and Bradley gets beat up. So get over the Arum hating. Arum has promoted all of Manny's career and never had trouble fighting anyone.

Mr. Punch Out, Shawn Porter is fighting his mandatory Kell Brook in a few weeks. Keith Thurman hasn't done jack sht to earn a fight with Mayweather. Amir Khan can't fight due to religion. Danny Garcia lost to Herrera and is fighting Salka next. Erislandy Lara is too boring for a PPV event and just took an L against Canelo. You tell me who was Floyd supposed to fight other than the Maidana rematch? people liked the first fight and actually demanded a rematch, i would not be surprised if it does over 1 million PPVs.

Okay but Marquez fought Like Ramos, someone of Marquez caliber did this, and him and Pac are in the same calibre, Pac has never fought someone that low at this stage, Algieri is getting to that upper level right now he proved himself and his ability against the most feared 140 pounder Ruslan the one JMM ducked to fight Alvarado instead.

Notice how most of the guys you mentioned either just fought or has a match coming up...except for Keith Thurman, the mandatory for one of Floyd's belts and someone who's earned his shot at the big names for a while now. That's one guy he could have fought.

And what people demanded the rematch? Because from what I see, so many people are already predicting another Mayweather win and that's something I truly doubt people are going to pay to see.
