    Just watched Canelo/Lara again...

And wow... Lara just gave that fight away didn't he, I had Canelo winning the first time and this time a draw. Not only did Lara stop doing anything (I think the body shots had a lot to do with it) but Canelo is so limited as a fighter I don't know why people think he is the "future" of boxing. Firstly, Canelo is slow as hell and has absolutely no concept of what cutting the ring is. Secondly, why did he not fight the entire fight like he did that 4th round?

The 4th round was the only time he showed anything "special" to me, those lunging shots at least cut the ring. Also, I just can't be how slow Canelo actually is and how he has no clue on how to set anything up, he is a very limited fighter. All that being said I think he still deserved the nod but only because Lara did nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing once he got that cut over his eye. Usually I don't belive in the "guy trying to make the fight" argument but in this fight it certainly fit. Lara and Canelo both need some new trainers but at this point... neither one is anyting special, they both need a lot of work. Personally Canleo has a higher ceiling than Lara, that guy is scared to be hit and does NOTHING but run. I'm drunk now and I was watching the fight, (hey it's saturday) but in reality neither guy deserved that win.

The 4th round changed the whole dynamic of the fight, that round was the cause of Lara's negativity.

Canelo isn't as" limited" as people are making him out to be. He fought a faster guy so he looked slow -- when he fought Angulo, he looked pretty fast.

He just beat the guy that was probably the worst style matchup he'll ever have... And he did so without a real strategy.

I'm convinced a new trainer would suit him well.

I understand that speed is relative to the guy you are fighting, and Canelo is still slow as **** and predicable. Looking fast against Angulo is like being proud your porsche beat a Nissan Sentra, it's expected.

Finally saw this crap again. Neither deserves to win bit Canelo at least tried. Also, De LA Hoya > Haymon.

In his effort to make Canelo look bad, Lara forgot to win the fight. Lara seems to pride himself on avoiding every kind of contact and jabbing. Thats texrbook amateur.

That he compares himself with Floyd is hilarious.

Never seen anyone backpedal so much and think he is winning. RiGod please kick him out of the Cuban school.

the 4th round was because Canelo came out to start a fight, the first 3 rounds made Lara comfortable and when the 4th round happened it changed everything.

He most certainly did give that fight away, loved the point where he took the punch to the rings and **** the reverse running man around the ring. I like Lara but he kinda fkd himself big time with that performance.

I still think Lara won 115-113 but he didn't fight up to expectations. He gave the fight away by not being more offensive.

how can you say you thought Lara won by 115-113 but then say he gave the fight away but being more offensive?

                    lol?
