I think it would be very interesting to see how Wlad reacts to having a heavier opponent against him in the clinch. Fury's size does present a real challenge to Wlad, not that I would realistically pick him to win.
hello,,,,wach,,,,Jefferson....mccline...Monroe... all much heavier than wlad but it did no good. people need to get a clue on the overrated size deal
That's the best punch USS has ever landed, it was thrown with bad intentions & would've knocked many HW's clean out.
Fury got up straight away with a clear head and proceeded to put a vicious beating on him.
Do you honestly believe that Fury will go into the Wlad fight with the same mindset/tactics that he used against Cunningham? Please...
His tactics wont really matter.
He's going to be fighting a man in Wlad who is simply far better than him. He's far more skilled, his technique is better, he's got faster hands, better footwork, higher boxing IQ, more power, more variety...
Its really not even close. Wlad will blast him out quick.

Fury's size, heart and general unpredictability will cause Wlad all sorts of problems. Wlad never blasts anyone out quick anyway. He leans all over them, and clinches his opponents until their knackered.
He's certainly not got more variety than Fury, nobody in the HW division has, he's also less skilled than Fury. Wlad clearly has more power yes, but that's about it.
Jab: Wlad
Defense: Fury
ring generalship: Wlad
ring IQ: Wlad
stamina: Fury
heart: Fury
combination punching: Fury
adaptability: Fury
power: Fury
star power: Fury
experience: Wlad
work ethic: Wlad
chin: Fury
better bodywork: Fury
more effective hooks: Fury
NSB draw power: Fury
I have Fury taking his jab away in the early rounds, pressuring him, and forcing the fight inside, then systematically breakign him down to a late stoppage in the 10th, in a FOTY candidate.
What say you?
Wlad beats Fury in every category on that list even now and I would argue every point on there if anyone wants to.

Size never causes Wlad problems, quite the opposite.
Wlad blasts plenty of HW's out early, especially one's with chins like Fury.
Saying Tyson Fury is more skilled than Wladimir is downright ridiculous. Wlad stands well above him in every skill department. Footwork, punch technique, delivery, set-up, defence, ring generalship....that's before we get to the athletic department in which Wlad is faster, better conditioned, stronger, agile - he is literally better in all aspects.
Fury is big, slow, heavy footed and lacks big power. He's simply been feasting on small, crap HW's. Wlad will annihilate him.
wlad isn't an aggressive fighter and fury is quicker on his feet. how do you think wlad will catch a guy who is 2-3 inches taller than him and can fight on the outside? wlad can't even catch guys 2-3 inches shorter than him most of the time lol
im a massive wlad fan and a fury fan too but i'm telling you this and you can quote me if this fight gets made, it goes 12 rounds and is boring, ugly and a clinch fest. wlad wins on points.
On the contrary, we've seen he IS aggressive when someone tries to brawl with him and when someone is the bigger man. I 'think' he can catch him because those 2 inches are not going to be much of a disadvantage...in fact it's debatable, Wlad looks taller than 6ft 6 often and Fury looks shorter than 6ft 9 at times. It might be an inch in it. And often it can be harder to catch shorter guys who have good movement. Take someone like Haye, who we could say he struggled to catch clean, that was because Haye could duck low and move quickly...a big oaf like Fury is just there to be hit up the pipe.
Personally I just highly doubt this fight sees 12 rounds and Wlad wins - if as you say he won't be able to catch Fury and Fury can be rough and tire Wlad out and use his outside fighting to outwork Wlad, he has some theoretical chance of winning. Fury has been clinching a lot lately so yes I see a scrappy fight, but Fury doesn't have notable power...I truly believe Wlad will be able to walk through a shot, so to speak, to land his own...and you know there's just one outcome then. It could be actually very similar to the Pulev fight - Fury might start on the front foot, surprise and anger Wlad with some rough tactics and solid long jabs, but at some point Wlad will bring the thunder with a right straight or left hook and it will be the beginning of the end for Fury.
Hopefully we see the fight soon and see how it really plays out.

Sorry but Fury has all the right tools to upset Wlad. His height, superior speed, and high ring IQ will cause Wlad fits. Fury would control the pace of the fight, set traps, and cause Wlad to fight on the backfoot.
I love how people point to the Cunningham fight and try to say that this proves Fury doesn't have a good chin, when Fury jumped right back up and put a world class beating on him.
