Comments Thread For: Sulaiman Gives Maidana a Shot To Shock Mayweather

World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman, pledged that Argentinian hard-puncher Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs) has a chance to defeat the current pound-for-pound welterweight and super welterweight champion of the WBC/WBA, Floyd Mayweather, on September 13th at the MGM Arena in Las Vegas, when they met each other in the ring for second time. Mayweather won a majority decision in their first meeting in May.

Sure he does. Jr can't much more than what he did in his first fight

      OR

HE WOULD HAVE DONE IT !!!!!

IF you think he fought like that for the fans think again. JR has NEVER BEEN FOR THE FANS and all of you that love him he has less care for you all he wants is YOUR MONEY !!!!!

JR wants a clean fair fight, then it works both ways. Commissioned gloves are legal, meaning Chino can use his gloves. Don't want to get hit in the back of the head, nuts or hip, then JR needs to stop the ELBOWS and not give the hint of cheap shots.

      Works both ways huh !

Maidana will work on being less anxious to land now that he has exposed JR as not being SUPERMAN. Coming in lighter and being more accurate with better endurance Chino will out do JR but if he don't KO the punk he will lose due to the JUDGES FOLLOWING THE MONEY.

Chino won't let Jr bounce around giving potshots to victory, he is fixing to get roughed bad,,,,real bad.

Its amazing how jr's insolence is accepted and gets his way. I may or maynot get the fight , I didn't get the first, I can wait to see it later just in case Maidana coldco*Ks his azzzzzzz

by the way if he gets by chino he won't fight Pac, Pac won't put up with all the ****** demands from this idiot.

Of course why wouldn't anyone think he has a shot...both men are human. Every fighter has a shot when he steps in the ring. Hell Maidana had more than a few moments where Floyds guard was all fkd up in the middle of the ring and he ain't throw the punches he needed (had he thrown that low then follow to the head he hit adrien with he would've dropped floyd imo). If you can objectively watch that fight without nuthugging either man they each had really good opportunities to land some seriously damaging punches. I was hella surprised on the rewatch seeing all the holes Maidana didn't fill in that fight, its almost eery how wide open Floyd's jaw was at time for the punch. Can't say I recall Floyd's full chin being that exposed for punching in any of the twenty or so of his fights i've actually seen in full. I think Floyd tightens it up in the rematch but wouldn't be surprised to see either man hurt in september.

Ask the 400 people me, southpawology, syf, danhamza, razorback, fundicao, Golovkin, and a few others were trying to convince before the first fight. People were talking about him getting Gatti'd. Even the bookies exposed their lack of knowledge of the sport.

It's men who treat athlete like gods and believe they are invincible man. Nothing else comes to mind to explain it. Every man can be touched, people act like wins are absolutely guaranteed. Same reason why you've still got a bunch of people crying about Lara winning because they had absolutely convinced themselves he had won before the weigh in even took place.

I don't think so, Floyd has though. He looks in even better shape now than he did in the first fight.

Had to cycle off the Mayweather Boxing Club PED's
