they just have made very good match making along the way...
a skills set is best tested by the level of adversaries...
it is Floyd who deprived himself the chances to showcase his talents...
by not fighting the bests of this era...
I will take the skills set of ali any time of the day...
with a little drop of health comes first....he he he
So Floyd's opponents suck so bad that it gave him this astonishing ability to fight on the ropes, in the pocket, going backwards, walking you down etc? Accuracy, I/Q, defense?
When Floyd and Pac couldnt fight eachother, Floyd fought the absolute best outside of Pac. Changed his entire fighting style and dominated each without being hissed by a single shot.
Hypothetically if SRL, SRR, Herns, and every other ATG fought Floyd's opponents, surely they'd be able to knock them out or worse. But would they possess the skillset to change their fighting style and dominate each without being touched? No fighter in history could do it.
If they all fought common opponents, Floyd would show more skills than any fighter in history. And Ali made TONS of mistakes.
You can say what you want about Floyd, but being a true boxing fan I cant lie and pretend like this level of fighting existed before he came along. I have him top 3 based off of skills alone.
I could care less about his record and titles in multi-weight classes.
Was rambling a bit in my reply but yes I will give you the Skills...as far as COMPLETE BOXING SKILLS Mayweather can stack up with ANYBODY in the History of boxing when talking just PURE BOXING SKILLS. I would agree with that! Still don't make him TBE though
And I never mentioned his record, titles, and other accomplishments. I just talk about his skills because if SRL and SRR fought his opponents yea they may destroy them, but they wouldnt possess the skillset of Floyd where they could change their entire style and dominate them without being touched.
Thats the reason the media began this agenda to over-exaggerate about his opponents sucking so bad. Some of these guys are 24yrs old, 22, 10yrs+ younger and 18lbs heavier.
I think skills alone(and nothing else) I think he is the most skilled fighter ever and its hard to ignore what he's really doing IN the ring. Some people talk AROUND it to sweep it under the rug but its really hard for me to do that.

Well to be fair, srl, hearns, hagler, even Ali, those guys didn't mind taking a shot every once in a while to get their shots in...especially if its a close fight...thats not Floyd's game at all...floyd wants to put on boxing masterpieces, while the aforementioned always looked the knockout... which meant taking the risk of sticking your chin out there, floyd just doesn't take those type of risks

I think Pernell Whitaker would have something to say in that regard, and I would say he showed a vast array of skills against stiffer comp than Floyd, especially at ww

have i stated floyd's opponents suck so bad?
it is on fights floyd did not make where floyd failed to showcase his talents/potential...
as i have stated, the level of adversaries is the best way to test a skills set...
now let us go over what you put in to glorify floyd, and let me quote you;
"and dominate each without being touched? No fighter in history could do it."
without being touched? nobody ever touched floyd? didn't castillo, zab & shane almost stole floyd's beleoved 0? were all of floyd's fights 12-0? Really?
"When Floyd and Pac couldnt fight eachother, Floyd fought the absolute best outside of Pac."
again, this is very selective. what about the pre pac fighters so many people believed floyd evaded like one running away from the bubonic plague? even the rematch with oskie? and even now, he ducked khan...the winner of the floyd initiated poll to see who the fans wanted floyd to fight....for maidana...who now floyd will rematch in sept...
do you mean no one is above maidana now to be floyd's opponent? maidana the sole worthy foe?
So Floyd's opponents suck so bad that it gave him this astonishing ability to fight on the ropes, in the pocket, going backwards, walking you down etc? Accuracy, I/Q, defense?

lmao, look at this guy riding floyds **** hard
"fought the absolute best"
get the **** out of here dumb ass
during his prime, his god damn peak, he ducked the best, williams, prime mosley (not when he was 38 coming off a 2 year lay off, may I add he still nearly got ktfo) margorito and so on
he fought freaking guys like guerrero and ortiz, for gods sake these are d level guys who will never make it close to the hof, even chino is a decent brawler who got schooled by freaking alexander lol, lost nearly every round
his whole career is a fraud, there is a reason he has ducked the best, that is because he did not want to lose, he admitted being a cherry picker, floyd himself admitted being a rich coward, yet you cannot? the man himself you worship admits avoiding the better guys, cherry icking and being a coward yet you only see his **** in your eye sight
srl and so on fought the best, floyd will never be top 20 or even 30 atg, simply because he ducked the best, his resume sucks, simple as, he is not even the best in his generation, that goes to another guy he ducked from asia. to be the best, you need to beat the best
end of story
adios, sorry for embarrassing you again
also, amazing how you forget how he lost to already but got a gift
Well to be fair, srl, hearns, hagler, even Ali, those guys didn't mind taking a shot every once in a while to get their shots in...especially if its a close fight...thats not Floyd's game at all...floyd wants to put on boxing masterpieces, while the aforementioned always looked the knockout... which meant taking the risk of sticking your chin out there, floyd just doesn't take those type of risks
GTFO!!! Thats not being fair. All of those fighters wanted and tried to be elusive. They just SUCK at it in comparison to Floyd. Floyd will stand in front of you and walk you down without being hissed.
Skill for skill, those fighters look like BUMS and thats being fair.
I think Pernell Whitaker would have something to say in that regard, and I would say he showed a vast array of skills against stiffer comp than Floyd, especially at ww
Pernell Whitaker bum azz? You mean the same Pernell who lost and got hit by ALL caliber of fighters?
Pernell is NOT going to walk down Canelo without being hit. He's a good fighter, but a flashy, bob-n-weave, showboat-for-the-audience defensive specialist. Floyd is a full blown tactician. He dont play none of that mess.
They are completely different fighters lets not lie lol

Number 1 why would you use some of Floyd's least impressive fights? LOL Could SRL get hit by that version of Shane, and disrespect his power by walking him down for the rest of the fight without being touched?
Floyd didnt duck the prefight opponents. Before Cotto and Margarita ever existed, Floyd spent his entire career chasing Oscar and Gatti. He climbed weight classes and went DIRECTLY to Oscar and Gatti.
Then reporters accused him of ducking 10-20 fighters in between. What if their were 50 fighters? He would have "ducked" 50 fighters. The misconception that Floyd ducked all of those fighters is what we call Folklore.
He did duck Pac and thats a fact. But as far as the fighters he DID face, NO FIGHTER in history could fight the exact same opponents and show the skills he showed.
All I did was give Floyd credit for having the most skills in boxing history and at this point its not even a debate. SRL and SRR BOTH look like BUMS compared to Floyd.
Again I never spoke on his record or titles.
And I actually comment Floyd for not fighting Khan. Khan was coming off the Diaz fight and looked bad. Khan won on the polls then Floyd ignored the polls and gave the fight to a much tougher foe who deserved it.
Let Khan get a big win like Marcos over Broner. A big name and dominant fight.
And why would Floyd give Oscar a rematch? Oscar was a bum and he made the fight close. The first fight was awful, and a rematch would have been a waste of time. And Floyd is wise for not having a dull rematch with a shot fighter who made the fight close.
