Comments Thread For: Roy Jones/James Toney Card Has Some Changes

The major show in Riga, Latvia, which is pre-planned for July 26 at the Skonto stadium, is the subject of changes, as previously announced foes are being withdrawn for various reasons. The show, which is co-promoted by Russian Kirill Pchelnikov and his local partner Andrejs Platonovs features boxing icons Roy Jones Jr. and James Toney in separate fights, according to the matchmaker of the show Oleg Bogdanov. Toney (76-9-3, 46 KOs) was previously scheduled to take on hulking Russian Evgueny Orlov (15-12-1, 11 KOs). Boxrec has him listed fighting an ever dangerous TBA now.

I can't imagine it pays that well to face TBA in Latvia.

Just looked at Boxrec they are saying James Toney will be fighting Denis Bakhtov and Roy Jones jr will be fighting Courtney Fry.

There should be a shot fighters division. Everyone who is way past it should fight each other Holyfield Toney and Jones

I am tired of seeing these two legends take losses when they shouldn't be fighting.

Them child support payments man....these dudes and half the retired pro athletes of the U.S. all dying for their kids to all turn 18 so they don't have to pay anymore support. Roy made some really dumb property investments and lost a ton of money on that record label of his. Toney...it ain't gonna end well for him.
