I am just glad we finally saw a killer instinct in Rigo. This Rigo I would pay to watch.
People mistake his patience for lack of killer instinct. Watch what he does to Ramos once he has him hurt. Then go watch him chase Donaire while Donaire runs for his dear life in the last round.

Rigo doesnt look for the KO. He lets it come to him. That's his philosophy. You would think a guy with power like him would be constantly looking for the KO. But I guess he knows that's been other people's downfall as well.

Did anyone watch this on TV Azteca? Chavez is so bad he's good.

Announcer: Looknongyangtoy is really hard to pronounce....

Chavez: Let me give it a try... CHINGCHONGCHINGCHONCHING!

Announcer: What was Kokietgym expecting from Rigondeaux? A hug?

      Chavez: Yeah and a kiss!

The guy has 9 kos in 14 fights thats about 65% KO ratio! what more killer instincts do people want? Btw when he doesn't knock people out is bc their fighting just to survive!
In the 5 non kos he's knocked down 3 of them!! Only 2 were abeko who was a shell the whole fight and donaire who was afraid to exchange and running for dear life in the 12th.

IMO the ref (obviously and clearly inexperienced at this level) skroo-ed up by not giving Kokietgym more time to recover. Only the fighter knows how bad the butt was. We don't. We can speculate and dismiss the fighter as a bum. Doesn't make it so. I like Rigo, great boxer, good power etc etc, but this is not a good way to win the fight.

              Some people and double standards

Maidana throws a knee, low blows, rabbit punches, shoves his opponent through the ropes, hits on the break and after the bell ... but it's ok, it's just how he fights.

Canelo has a judge in his pocket more often than not, but that is also part of the game.

Rigo wins by UD , he is boring.

Wins by K.O. in round one with a perfectly legal combo , he's a cheat.

What was he supposed to do? tell his opponent " it'd be awfully considerated of you to lift your hands here, and I'd be most obliged to you if you let me hit you clean, but I'm not mean "

looks like a legit KO to me....I don't get it...Rigo gets a 12 rounds UD he gets hate. he wins by KO he gets hate....Maybe he needs to win the old fashion way....either with a judge or two on his promoters payroll...or with phantom-punching power...gimmie a break!!

headbutt and sneaked a 1,2 to a defenseless fighter.

I do have to give him props he recreated the Ortiz vs Mayweather bout in 1 round.
