are you serious? if so thats hilarious

if cortez already motioned for them to resume the action (which he had), theres nothing illegal about punching your opponent in the face. why would he look away so floyd could pop him with a legal punch? what benefit does looking away serve?

for the record he was talking to the time keeper, making sure he or she recognized cortez had resumed the action.

Check the RBR thread. There's a clip of the knockdown in it.

Watch the fight and look at 2:50 of the round. He ate a straight left and when you get hit by Rigo thats all it takes. Ask Rico Ramos. A little before the butt Rigo landed a right hook on Sod's wrist that sent him back too. You dont need to be hit flush to know a guy's power.

Am I serious about what? Cortez did look away. How the **** do you do that as a ref? He should've looked before resuming time.

cool I saw it. No cheap shot imo. they touched gloves and sod's hands was above his waist. He just probably was still shook up from the accidental butt.

cokeheadgym needs to learn to protect himself at all times.

especially when you're fighting the greatest fighter of all time.

i think this win puts rigondeaux as THE greatest boxer of all time considering cokeheadgym hasn't lost in almost 9 years (incredible).

he is definitely greater than robinson. p4p rigondeaux is more versatile and higher IQ than robinson ever was and i was born in the 40s so i grew up watching (live a couple of times) and listening to robinson fight.

This is my stance on it. The guy was clearly messed up from the butt and was given like 30 seconds to recover and then directed to fight again. His hand was extended in an attempt to touch gloves and then he was pummeled with a right left combo. The guy wasn't "looking for a way out" as some are claiming, he was probably seeing double while walking out of the corner.

For those saying it was a sucker punch:

This is the first punch. Or before the first punch. He was protecting himself... clearly.
Probably one of the worst posters I've seen on this forum, what a ****ing ****** lol, is Canelo still awake from getting destroyed by Floyd?

it's called protect yourself at ALL times.

rigondeaux is ATG ever. no one beats him.

okay if rigondeaux didn't do what he was supposed to do and punch him, cokeheadgym would probably have last 10 seconds. so who cares.

rigondeaux is legendary and when they talk about the most masterful, greatest ever achieving fighter in sports history they will say RIGONDEAUX.
