Kell Brook To Spar Manny Pacquiao?

I heard on a radio show that Brook might be invited to the Wild Card Gym to spar Pacquiao. Pac has sparred Porter before and Porter has admitted to incorporating some of Pac's techniques into his style.

It would be a useful few sparring sessions for the both of them if you think about their next opponents.. Brook fighting Porter, Pac fighting Algieri. They could help each other out, plus they might end up fighting down the line if they both win their next fights so they could do a little research on each other.

Pacquiao will just own him so what's the point? Brooks is just a bum at the best and a tomato can at the worst.

Well Porter said that he does 2 things (he didn't specify what they were) which Manny does and he was directly influenced by Manny during their times sparring together. He learned those 2 things from Manny directly.

So Brook sparring Pac means that he'll get exposed to the two things that Porter is talking about and learn how to prepare against them. Its a great idea if you think about it because Porter has admitted he uses 2 of Manny's techniques.

And for Manny, he gets to spar a 147 guy who is at least as good as Algieri, who can be quite slick at times with a good jab, speed and power. It's a perfect sparring partner for both of them.

Algieri overall has better footwork than Brook and he also throws whilst on the move which isn't the case with Brook. On top of that Brook doesn't move his head or use upperbody movement, his defense is far more dependent on putting up a guard, again NOT the case with Algieri. The best suggestion for Pacquiao is Miguel Vazquez, closest style to Algieri.

Porter and Pacquiao are nothing alike, don't care about what Porter picked up from Pacquiao, the two have too different of an approach. One is superior at cutting off the ring and loves to get physical/ wrestle in close where he likes to keep it, that's anything but Manny.

Top quality sparring, just what Kelly Brook needs
He should take full advantage of that opportunity because it will help him come the Porter fight.

Brook and Algieri both like to keep it long if they can, keep fighters at a distance. Pac would have to close the distance against Brook same way he would against Algieri, getting past the jab. It would be a useful opponent to spar for Pac, and its best to mix up sparring partners, no one is exactly a perfect replica of your scheduled opponent..

For Brook, Pac brings speed, aggression, power, consistency, accuracy which are some of the skills Porter has too. Add Manny's experience and general talent level, high P4P status, it would force Brook to be on his A-game.
