Sorry if this was already posted. Maidana says the gloves don't make a difference but he'd still like to use his gloves.

the gloves do make a difference. he likes the feel of the MX, and they do more damage.
he's saying this because he's confident.Comment

he also says in the interview that his management is going to "fight for his gloves."
finally, it's not exactly an unbiased translator.Comment

Im not sure what he means by that but there is a difference between getting hit by foam and being hit by horse hair. Like NE said, they do more damage. And thats the point of hitting your opponent, to inflict damage.
They obviously make a difference too cause they couldnt get their ****ing hands in there.Comment

Yeah I was hoping somebody could translate better to see what he was really saying. Feels like something was left outIm not sure what he means by that but there is a difference between getting hit by foam and being hit by horse hair. Like NE said, they do more damage. Like JSFD said, anyone in here who's worn the two will automatically feel the difference.
I've never been hit by the horsehair gloves but pro's I've spoken to tell me its their worst nightmare if they're up against a puncher.Comment

i bet our own squat1520 has blocked plenty of horse hair gloves with his chin and liver.
only pros are going to know what it's like to get cracked by a puncher with a soft leather glove, loosely packed with horsehair.
i'm always surprised that gloves aren't talked about more. they make a huge difference, especially when punchers are involved.Comment
