Again, skill wise, this SHOULD happen. BUT you are giving Khan credit for an ability to stick to a game plan without deviating. Something that he has failed to do on numerous occasions.

Boring, boring fight. Marquez would have to press because Khan would always be on the move and unwilling to engage. I think Khan could get the nod here, but it'd be a dreary affair. Jauns age is starting to catch up, but he's still a great fighter so it would be no surprise if he won.

Good point! I hadn't really considered Khans temperament is more of a stick and move and setting the pace style instead of tending to press the action and engage. Although Khan is capable of this, it's not his usual temperament and given the fact he would be fighting Marquez gives me no reason to think he would change that.

Khan would undoubtably be constantly racking up points and it would be up to Marquez to change that. Unfortunately, Marquez wouldn't have a guy constantly pressing him to counter. That's when the X factor comes in. Can Khan resist the urge for 12 rounds to begin to engage with Marquez? Does he have the mental fortitude to stick to the game plan against a brilliant, crafty veteran?

Khan would easily outbox him throughout a 12rd shutout, maybe JMM could take 2/3rounds?
That is at a push I just don't think JMM style is suited for beating someone like Khan.

Like he was scared of engaging against Collazo and Maidana?
Don't play coy with me he engages in the offensive game plenty of times, he isn't doing a Lara put it that way.
Yes Khan utilizes foot work and shoots in with combinations and moves out but he actually is a pretty offensive fighter when you watch him.
You don't knock Collazo down several times when you're not sitting down on your punches.

Theres an inevitability of Khan not being able to stand up to this new Marquez's power. Pac gets knocked down and out, and Alvarado literally flies out of the ring, so i dont see how Khan can not face the same fate.

Of course if there were drug testing, then Khan UD.

Both guys have the ability to engage. Let's not forget Marquez has dished out a few brutal beatings as well. It's just not either guy's usual temperament.

You're comparing Collazo and Maidana's styles to Marquez, really? Much different fighters from JMM, and styles make fights. Khan will play it safe if at all possible. He's not going to make the same mistakes he did against Garcia while in with an older but more ring savvy veteran.

Before jmm put pac to sleep i was convinced khan uds him. With khan's predictabilty with his combos and jmm excellent timing i think he can land big bombs quite frequently. But i expect khan to limit his punches and do a lot of cliching with jmm getting forced to be the agressor since khan has longer reach and can land from a distance, i have to favor khan to beat him..
