He wants to fight the other beltholders but the question has always been "will they grow some balls to fight Golovkin?"

I hope he stays in his division and tries to accomplish this. That Ward fight doesn't interest me. Golovkin hasn't beaten that many contenders to be moving up, he needs to chase these middleweight cowards and beat them before thinking about moving up.

Ward, on the other hand, is a coward. He cleaned his division years ago but has no plans on moving up to face lightheavyweights. He made Dawson weight drained himself to fight him, he doesn't want to fight Kovalev and now his fans are calling out Golovkin (a middleweight that only has 1 victory over an other top 10 middleweight). Pathetic.

Ward's not fighting anyone bro. When he was fighting, any time Golovkin's name was brought up, Ward would say "a year down the line" and start talking Chavez.

He's mentioning Golovkin's name a lot now that (a) he's not fighting and (b) Golovkin announced he's staying a MW. Safe to talk now.

This is what I'm saying. Golovkin used Wards name to create interest in his own. Ward wasn't interested before because GGG brought nothing for him, it was a lose/lose situation. Now that Golovkin has begun making a name Ward is doing the same thing Gennady did in trying to create interest in himself. If they fought I'd lean towards Ward. But GGG is on his way to becoming the next Hagler if he can stay on track. He's tough, exciting and seems like a blue collar style of fighter. Boxing fans love that!

GGG is so ****ing overrated I can't even stand it.....And he's ONLY hyped up so much because he's a cool foreigner from the Soviet Bloc that all the dumb casual fans think is cool to root for....If he was Gennady Smith from Iowa no one would give 2 ****s about him....If he was from Iowa he would be getting 1/100th of the hype that he currently does now.

That shows you know little about Boxing. Gennady is young, he's getting better every fight. He's fighting 3 times a year. Says he wants to unify his division. Chavez wouldn't fight him. Sergio Martinez wouldn't fight him. Macklin was scared. Cotto is on a run right now, but you can't deny also at the back end of a career. If he goes toe to toe with GGG we'll see a helluva fight, but youth and lack of size and strength will be his demise to Gennady. I love Cotto too.
