I've always felt that Garcia is a smart guy from watching all the videos Elie Seckback posts on his YouTube channel.

Robert did the smart thing by countering & calling Floyd's bluff on the bet. He should have stood his ground and demanded that Maidana gets to use the commission approved Everlast MX gloves in the 1st fight though.

Out in San Antonio Yesterday While Robert Garcia was making his way to wherever he was trying to he was mobbed by fans who wanted autograph and pictures and Garcia obliged so did Maidana.
