lol.........this "nobody" is the champ, is undefeated, and won the gold in the world championships after beating Keith "one time" Thurman twice qualifying for the Olympics. He made it to the 2008 Olympics and advanced to like the quarterfinals or something. This guy isn't someone to take lightly, he is probably the toughest challenger available at 154.

Is Lara really a bigger name than Andrade? Not a great deal in it as far as casuals are concerned imo.

This is a good fight. Would love to see it..

I think Andrade has a legit chance to beat canelo, mand either way it will be more action filled than canelo-Lara

I like Andrade but he would have to do a little more to make me wanna pay 60 bucks to watch him. Hernandez and Vanes doesn't cut it.

Lara is a little more well known in the boxing conciousness; among casuals i agree it's neglible. What I really meant was that Andrade has some catching up to do in his level of competition before he gets to where Lara and Canelo are...he yet to face anyone near the level of Paul Williams, Lara did that years ago. His ceiling for popularity is much higher than Lara's though, mostly because he's American and speaks English. this could be a big fight

Yeah, but he should get the money while it's there (if he can).

I understand he didn't want Lara's paper 'regular' title, but this is a legit strap.
I would welcome this fight. However I think Canelo want's an opponent with a fan friendly style like Kirkland if it's not going to be a "huge" fight. Let Andrade fight Lara.

I would kind of like to see Canelo fight Carlos Molina and Vanes. It would be cool to see him beat them and sort of rub it in Lara's face. lol
