Comments Thread For: Maidana: I Have No Choice, I Have To KO Mayweather!

Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31KOs) has only one plan in place for September 13th - to knock Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) out for the WBC/WBA welterweight titles. He doesn't want to take any chances with allowing the fight to reach the scorecards.

The rematch takes place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the site where their first meeting took place. Mayweather had tough time figuring out Maidana's style and won a twelve round majority decision. There was a lot of pre-fight controversy as well, with Maidana complaining that he wasn't allowed to use his favorite Everlast MX gloves.

Maidana said he won the first fight yet now he says floyd is hard to hit and scores well .
He knows he got beat and has no hope of beating floyd especially if floyd gets on his toes and doesn't stand in front of him

He's going for the KO..."this time." As if he wasn't going for the KO last time? maidana can't out box Broner, much less Floyd. He needs at least 2 10-8 rounds if not a KO to beat Floyd.

**** is getting real now floyd. Hide yo kids, hide yo ex wife that you beat up lmao. Damn coward. We loading our gloves with plaster, **** it. You want to force us to use sparring gloves again, guess what? We'll outbox you again but this time we'll remove the padding and harden the **** out of them. I want Maidana to load up on every steroid in the book. What I want to see that night goes beyond the sport.

You do have a choice, how about the choice to face someone else and give us an entertaining fight instead of this ball-ache waste of one of Floyd's remaining fights. Maidana facing Pac or Thurman would've been incredible siiighhh

it was pretty common knowledge last time their plan was to win every round with a high output and pressure

i doubt it will be any different this time around, you can't go into a fight looking for a ko

It would be difficult to win every round against Mayweather, especially for a fighter (Maidana) whose stamina isnt top notch.

It can happen, and most would probably be ecstatic if it did happen. Maidana's stamina issues are much less now, so he has a better chance to stay at it all 36 minutes. Hope he finds that dome and hits the temporary off switch. That would flat our rule.
