I would put dough on Algieri at 1/16 odds

I'm not picking him but Pacquaio isn't getting any younger, this guy is evasive, great physique, just beat Provodnikov, it could be close. He has a better style for beating Pacquaio than someone like Margarito, that's for sure.

This is a very dangerous fight for Manny. He needs to be very aggressive and continually work if he wants to win this fight. If this fight is even remotely close it is going to Algeri.

Those odds will get a lot closer before the fight. Algieri is a live underdog.

Algieri was getting caught by the slower footed provodnikov, and he showed vulnerability in that fight. Pac's foot speed and power and hand speed combination will do a number on this kid.

Only reason Algieri was able to sc**** by prov is he out moved him while peppering him with jabs.... Take away his mobility advantage and he is a sitting duck. Out of his depth.

Good fight for what it is. Everything the rios fight wasn't due to styles.

After reading more about Algieri... I conclude, the guy knows how to win in life.
                Bachelors in Heath Science
Masters degree from New York Institute of Technology
He's a clinical nutrionist with private clients
                Black belt in chinese Kenpo
Wrestler who won a state catholic championship in high school/reached semis in the public championship

He then became a kickboxing champion... World kickboxing champion amassing a 20-0 record before retiring.

He's now 20-0 boxer...Against all odds with 1 eye shut after early knockdowns... He boxes his way to a close decision over legit champion Provodnikov.

Algieri knows how to win. He rarely lost in life. I am a student of success principles. And I'm impressed. It's not an accident that he's been a champion wrestler, kickboxer, and boxer. And he's been dedicated enough to finish his schooling.

The guy takes nutrition seriously as well.

PAC needs to to take this fight seriously. Some people on here think it's gonna be easy? I don't think so. This Algieri guy simply knows how to win.

Algieri has the style and reach and seemingly the IQ to give PAC some problems.

However, he doesn't seem to have great power, threatening counterpunch, or devastating overhand right.

I think PAC wins this 8-4.
