    Boxing/ Cuban school

For days now I've heard or read people talking about Lara and how that was boxing and only real boxing fans understand. Bull!!! This Cuban school thing truly seems like straight amateur boxing if Lara is a true representation of it because gamboa/ rigo don't fight like that ,they fight w/ balls. Boxing yes is hit and not get hit but Lara was just straight up running, and then u got idiots making fun of canelo for missing badly its because the guy was on a bike out there. He fought like there was a point system. Go back and watch Floyd/corrales , sweet p/de la Hoya , sweet p/ Chavez where people actually made people miss badly with head/body movement ,slipping, ducking punches using real ring generalship. Look if u don't like canelo that's fine but u can't applaud that nonsense Lara displayed because that's not boxing even Cubans can't be proud of that if there honest.

I get where ure coming from. And u made alot of valid points. I'm lost on how people can actually say that was a good performance by lara on saturday. He left a lot to be desired. Basically pissed away his opportunity. What rigo did to donaire was impressive. That was taking a fighter to school. But I've never been to impressed with Lara go back and watch his fights with vanes, molina, angulo

Well no shit genius. They just started allowing them to participate in pro boxing last year with the WSB. And that's only semi-pro. How long did it take you to figure that out?

There was always a clear difference between Rigo and Lara for sure. Rigo uses minimalist footwork, just what he needs to avoid shots, he doesnt have to use too much lateral movement to avoid punishment. Lara( while I actually disagree that he was running) was still avoiding any type of inside work and hes shown it before against Angulo. I think where Rigo has the advantage is that he has enough power to really make his opponents think twice about making mistakes aswell as having superb counter punching ability. Lara doesnt seem to be on the same level in this regard, hes really just more of an out fighter, with little infighting ability.
