Comments Thread For: Martin Murray-Domenico Spada on 10/25, Monte Carlo

BoxingScene.com has been informed that Martin Murray (28-1-1, 12 KOs) is set to face Domenico Spada (38-5, 19 KOs) on October 25 in Monte Carlo in the first defence of his WBC Silver middleweight title.

Italy’s Spada will be looking to rebound from his knockout defeat in Mexico at the hands of Marco Antonio Rubio in April while Murray is on a three fight win streak following his controversial loss to Sergio Martínez last year.

Spada has faced British opposition before in the form of Darren Barker whom he lost to on points back in 2011 in London.

Soooooooo Murray's on a bum of the month tour until he "earns" a title shot with any champion other than Golovkin.

The room he fought his last fight had about 20 people in it.

God only knows why he didn't sign with Matchroom.

Golden gloves supposedly gave him a seven figure deal with a lot of activity.

It feels as if Martin is padding his record with sub average fighters. It almost feels as if Martin is padding his record to fool a 160 champ into fighting him.

"This Murray fella looks good only one loss and 28 wins, he only has 12 KOs and his opposition list isn't that great, yeah he looks good on paper make the fight."

Well, he's staying fairly active and building his presence with his new promoter.

I'm confused though that they tried to bring Solimon to Monaco but turned down a fight for a mandatory position.

Solimon will probably fight the mandatory winner now if GGG doesn't unify with him...or Geale
