You'd be surprised to see how many boxers actually don't watch boxing. It's believable that Floyd wouldn't watch MMA. Floyd watches college football/basketball. Maidana even says he doesn't watch boxing. I think Floyd only watches mainstream sports and maybe some TMT promotion fights.

he once admit to being frustrated as a youngster because he couldn't decide on whether Hearns or Leonard would win.
he also looked up to Genaro Hernandez and believed it'd be a tough task getting in the ring with such a crafty fighter
he watches jccj fights ffs

LOL, With that kind of comment, one would assume that Mayweather thinks Ronda sounds like a dude.
She Kind of Does

What is the point in this whole "Ronda can beat Floyd" discussion in the first place? To my knowledge Rousey has never expressed any interest in boxing and the same goes for Floyd with MMA. Here are some things to consider before going any further...
1. Floyd has been fighting his ENTIRE LIFE. This isn't Rousey fighting some random guy in the street (which she would most likely tear apart). This is a man who has been fighting professionally since Rousey was 11 years old.
2. Rousey fights at 135...Floyd fights at 147...Rousey is listed at 5'7"...Floyd is listed at 5'8"...Rousey has a 66" reach...Floyd has a 72" reach...on top of all of this Floyd has a huge advantage in Strength, Speed, and Athleticism. I'm struggling to find any advantages who support the claim that Rousey would beat Floyd...unless
3. Unless we consider both fighting at their respective sport. Ronda at MMA, Floyd at Boxing then yes I'd have to give Rousey the edge. There are way too many variables for a guy who has been boxing his whole life to be able to win, take downs and leg kicks being a big part of that...
End of the day idk why Dana White or Ronda Rousey or Floyd Mayweather would even entertain this conversation because it'll always just be speculation, and it does nothing to progress Boxing nor MMA, or the careers of Floyd or Rousey.Last edited by Jordanmfonseca; 07-15-2014, 07:56 PM.
