Margarito deserves the chance to prove himself, but Floyd has a point: Margarito does not bring anything valuable to the table at this point. I would love to see them fight, but Margarito is not a draw, he's not a technical fighter that can trouble Floyd and he is very slow. Much as I would like to see it, I think Floyd would do whatever he wanted in that fight.

Margarito is a slow fighter but packs a power.

PBF will KTO him in late rounds..

Would you have respected PBF MORE if after the Gatti fight he said : "See? I told you he was a C-level fighter. I told you that I would dominate and humiliate him in front of his fans. Gatti said that he was going to punish me and test my chin and he never even touched me. He isn't on my level and I crushed him like I told you I would."

No, you would DESPISE him for that. After the fight, he was classy and called Gatti a "great champion" and said that it wasn't his night.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Why can't you dislike a fighter for his attitude? Surely in sports personalities matter, or they certainly do in all UK sports anyway. I never understand how you can build up any feelings towards an NFL team with 70 players but hey...off topic.

I personally don't care about Floyds attitude. I don't fall for his b*ll****, but I see why he does it and he's a *****ng great boxer.

I like Floyd. He's had a chip on his shoulder for the longest time.......primarily due to him never getting the recognition he rightfully deserved.

At one point in time....experts kept finding a way to keep him out of the P4P rankings, and totally dismissed him as being the best fighter on earth.

Serves the media right.....they should apologize for that.

it had nothing to do with class. if he had class, he wouldnt lie to his fans and claim hatton and baldomir priced themselves out. the truth is that baldomir only wanted 1 million of a 10 million dollar purse and floyd still wouldnt take the offer, yet he tells his fans baldomir priced himself out. and the dumb nuthuggers believe it.. then he tells hatton the only way he's fighting in manchester is if he gets 20 million dollars, which is an obvious duck. asking for 20million bucks is just as good as saying you dont want to fight at all! it would be a long shot to see hatton and mayweather get 20 million TO SPLIT, much less one fighter keeping 20mil.

why do you think he called gatti a 'great champion' after he kicked his ass.. to be classy? wake up, he did it to increase the value of the win. it was a weak attempt to make a weak victory look like a strong one. Toney does the same thing after he beats Holyfield after Jim Gray mentions Holy's health conditions, Toney gets pissed off at Grey for diminishing his win. They did the same thing, Toney's delivery method was just different. I'm a big mayweather fan, too, btw, and he has the most talent in the sport right now and is a pleasure to watch..I just dont like liars. and he's been lying to his fans and the boxing world claiming hatton and baldomir priced themselves out. Oh, and his attitude is fine, it's his conscience that gets to me, the fact that he's cool living with the idea that hes not only lying to his fans, but ducking the top guys.

I have no problem with a man making good business decisions, boxing is a business just as much as it is a sport, but don't lie about it to your fans, the people who pay your bills. Say you didn't want the fight or whatever, or fake an injury, but don't lie and say the other guy priced himself out just to look good on TV.

                    1) How can you say that Floyd "lied" about Baldomir pricing himself out when hatton came out and sadi the same thing about Baldomir? What was Hatton's motivation?

                    2) There are multiple reports of Floyd offering Hatton fights. Floyd clearly didn't want to fight IN MANCHESTER...but DID want to fight RH. A fight in Manchester would do nothing for Floyd. It provides him with a competitive disadvantage and it doesn't help him get the higher profile in the USA that he wants to continue building. Plus, HBO didn't want that fight to take place in England. You will notice that HBO likes to have their contracted fighters compete in the US, preferably at casino towns (can you say "site fee"?). At the same time, Ricky had to come to America ANYWAY to continue finding elite opponents. Ricky fighting in the USA is inevitable. Was RH just gonna keep importing opponents?

3)The reason Floyd called Gatti a "great champion" was not to boost the perceived value of the win. We all know what we saw. He knows what we saw. He did it to boost his marketability. He knows that there was a negative perception and he has to up the class quotient a bit. Most of what Floyd does now is to increase his marketability and make money. He wears a nice suit to the presser. Zab wears a hoodie and shades. Floyd releases a bunch of workout footage (see video section), he pursues high profile fights. PBF realizes that he is 29 now and the clock is ticking for a (true) lightweight.

                    4) Would you like me to re-post where Frank Warren and Ray Hatton said that Ricky Hatton declined the Mayweather fight because they didn't feel they were ready?

I think you are allowing your (apparent) hatred for Floyd to affect your opinion. You may be losing objectivity.

Biased nuthuggery to the max. My opinion is that of an obviously unbiased one. Yours is of a biased one. Both are speculation, but yours is doing nothing but saying 'i hug floyds nuts, and hes a good boy', while mine is stating the obvious.

he pursues easy fights he knows he can win, he knows zab's weaknesses, he knows his style. he doesn't know carlos or ricky like that, thus they are more unknown. going into the ring uneducated about your opponent isn't a good idea. Floyd's no fool, he wants to take the easy paydays rather than have his legacy defining bouts.

Would you like me to re-post where Hatton offered Mayweather a shot in Manchester, and instead of declining it, MW put a 20 million dollar pricetag on himself, for the sole reason of being able to lie to biased fans like yourself when he went home to save face? What's even more funny is fans like yourself believe the **** because you're in denial that your favorite fighter already ducked hatton in manchester, which he did by pricing himself out. Like I said, I'm not hating on anyone. I'm just telling it how it is, and that's how it is atm. I'm one of Floyd's biggest fans, the difference between me and you is that I'm a fan stating my unbiased opinion, I ****in love watching floyd fight, but you, you clench his nutsack and defend him when people state facts about him.(which at the moment those facts happen to be slightly negative!)
