I believe that Chris Algieri winning against Manny Pacquiao is best for boxing, Chris is 30 years old around the same age that Pac and Floyd were when they became superstars, Pac was 29 and Floyd was 30 I believe when they fought Oscar and the marketing power was transferred over.

Chris has the skills, the looks, the personality, he will capture white America which is a market that has been taken over by UFC, boxing needs a Chris Algieri win big time.

He will be the new guy in boxing that is extremely marketable and he is the anti Mayweather in terms of personality and the way he carries himself with class and humbleness.

An Algeri win over PAC would be good for the sport because it would be another example of a money grab by a promoter backfiring on him because nothing is a sure thing in the sport, "the theatre of the unexpected" ... Stop trying to "create" story lines and build fighters up based on looks,nationality,race etc... Listen man if HBO pushes Chris hard he can be a decent draw a Cotto level around 450-600k buys on average type draw.

Look at georges St Pierre a very boring fighter he is consider a runner mover but he is a huge draw in UFC and never gets knockouts but technically sound.
