Whenever NSB hears something they don't want to hear they just make up and believe whatever they wanted to actually hear . If they all spam it agreeing with each other, it means it is true.

I don't know about all of NSB but this thread is really just fun speculation. There is nothing concrete and really doesn't prove a thing. In fact I hope the speculation is wrong about Chino not receiving a dime. The man should have been paid or given something.

But, I know what you mean. Some people could take some of this stuff as fact.

All they (posters) really need to do is actually read all of the posts. This thread has gone in some good directions.

Last time I checked gloves don't win fights, fighters do. I can see why Mayweather had an issue with the Maidana gloves if they were made of horse hair. Not only does it give a puncher an additional advantage, especially if the horse hair is manipulated to expose the knuckles more. You're also taking the risk of getting cut. If Mayeather is paying Maidana's purse, be thankful the only thing he's asking him to change is his gloves.

I'm sure they're people on this site that would be ok if Maidana was allowed to fight bare knuckles.

The speculation comes from a possible disclosure agreement between the two parties.

Chino saying that he didn't receive any money does not eliminate the fact that he may have received something.

I do take Chino's word though. If he said that he didn't receive any money for the switch, then what else is there to do than believe him? I just sincerely hope he received something of value. It was a strong position for negotiation at the time.

Ok, we can speculate then. But the fact remains that both he and his manager said they didn't get any monetary compensation.
