  • Comments Thread For: Dulorme Ready To Replace Algieri, Face Pacquiao

According to an article by James Howlett that was published on BoxingScene.com this morning, WBO junior welterweight champion Chris Algieri is reportedly less than thrilled with the $1.5 million dollar (plus a percentage of pay-per-view sales) purse being offered to face Manny Pacquiao in November.

Rudy Vargas, adviser to top junior welterweight contender Thomas Dulorme of Puerto Rico, said that his fighter would be more than happy to step in and face the Filipino icon for the same purse offered to Algieri.

Any random off the street would be better than Algieri, not literally but to make a point.

I really like Dulorme and his will and determination but his last couple of performances have not been too stellar. Comparing opponents, Algeri is actually a little more proven with his win over Ruslan.

                  Also, why not Herrera?
