But even as that round went on, Lara was able to keep doing what he had been doing. Canelo started off both the 4th and 12th the same way, but he sustained that attacking pressure longer throughout the 4th. The cut happened in round 7.... I also noticed the change in momentum in the 8th in 9th which were clear Canelo rounds. but 10 and 11 were Lara rounds, in my opinion -- we all have them, though.

Anyway, you're saying a 4-0 start for Lara, and then he loses five (or possibly more) of the next eight??
I remember 3-1 or 4-0. Let's say 3-1. You say the 8th and 9th were clear Canelo rounds, so I have to believe I'd agree. The twelfth I believe I had for Canelo. That's four rounds. I must've given one of the swing rounds to Alvarez.

That brings up yet another thing, I thought there were some close rounds that really could've altered the score, depending on whom you sided with. I mean, I'm only one round away from a draw, and two rounds from a Canelo win. This is why I think it's perfectly conceivable that one could legitimately have it for Alvarez by the same score I gave Lara.

Sounds good, man. I'm going to rewatch as well, it'll probably get worse than Levi Martinez's scorecard, haha. Seriously, this is one of those fights where it'll become more apparent of how bad the scorecards were.

Bro, that punch was probably the best punch of the fight. It was certainly the one that caused the most damage. It was a clean uppercut. Unless you had Lara dominant in the remainder of that round, Alvarez took it. That must've been my fifth Alvarez round. lol

And to think Levi had Canelo winning 9. Lol he had his scorecard filled out on Friday night.

No way he won more than 5. Ppl say all Lara did was run. They focus on what he did but don't say **** about what Canelo didn't do. Which is cut off the damn ring. And he only outlanded Lara in 3 of the 12 rds.

Right, which is why I have a 116 or 117 score... and I wouldn't think 116-112 isn't pushing the envelop given it's the deserved fighter. With that Lederman vid you posted, it could be 127-93 by the time I'm done rewatching, ha!

That's the way I see it. No way 117-111...for either man.

It was a great punch! That's really one of the only highlights he has from this fight. I had Lara winning the 7th, despite the cut. If it knocked him down, staggered him... the ref had to tell the judge the cut was caused by a punch a couple seconds later. But toward the end of the round, Lara was picking at the cut and stopped throwing, so the momentum was starting to shift. His corner did a bad job dealing with it.

I think Canelo outscored Lara in 4 rounds. I could be wrong. I'm too tired to look it up. lol But total punches landed aren't the whole story. The power and effectiveness of those punches also weigh into the scoring, and that's where it gets real tricky. It's all open to interpretation.
