BoxingScene.com has been advised by a source close to the situation that IBF Lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (34-3, 13KOs) will take on Mickey Bey (20-1, 10KOs) on August 30th at a site yet to be determined.

This will be Vasquez's 7th defense of his IBF title. He was last seen in the ring in February when he defeated mandatory challenger Denis Shafikov after not having fought in 2013. Vasquez recently signed to Al Haymon and became part of a long list of fighters who aligned themselves with the powerful advisor.

How are they going to tempt Vazquez to walk into an ambush in the UK, cheap, when he can do this? Hearn had it right. As far as Bey goes, the fight will be ugly, Bey can run, but on the inside Vazquez will apply an arm bar and a hard spin into a hold and hit something or other. The main thing is, he'll get paid more than the proffered Euros for less, let's say, inconvenience.
