Punch stats are only as good and accurate as the people making them. They are subject to human error and favoritism, I think they are interesting and informative but they don't always paint a true picture of a fight. I haven't seen stats on this fight yet but Boxing Scene should have some up soon.

The bold is very true, and it also applies to judging a fight. Favoritism shouldn't play a role in judging a fight but it does on a very large scale.
In a discussion I was having with a friend, we came to the conclusion that if you wanted to get your fighter the win, all you would have to do is swing one judge. And in most cases it will lead to a win for the favored fighter.
I like Max Kellermans view. Who would you rather be in each round.
Outside of 3 I would have rather have been Canelo in most of the rounds. Took those potshots well and dished out the more powerful punches.
Lara landed a total of 10 more punches the entire fight. Meaningless when most of those shot didn't have anything behind them.
