His activity level is just not enough, and Mayweather doesn't exactly have the highest output rate either.

I always thought that Austin Trout would have been the toughest fight at 154 for Mayweather.

I thought Trout would have been a tough fight for Floyd as well.
As for Lara, depends if he tried to fight but Mayweathers timing and IQ would be to much I think for Lara to over come.

Mayweather is in a totally different class from Lara and Canelo

Based on last night...Neither deserve to be in the ring with Mayweather, fight Carlos Molina or Demetrius Andrade next! I have doubts Lara and Canelo can beat either of them based on last night.

I dont know about comfortably. But yes i think he has the skill to win. However this fight will never happen.

But i certainly feel he could earn another robbery. if it ever did happen.

Styles make fights, so you can't rule out Lara against Mayweather.

Actually last night's Canelo would have fared better against Mayweather. He was pressuring from the start and seemed more willing to take shots to land them.

Really? I like Alvarez v Andrade but you'd have to favour Canelo.

James Kirkland would be a tougher fight for mayweather.

I would give Lara a decent shot. The reason Floyd wanted no part of Paul Williams was because of that length. Lara could stay on the outside all night and Floyd doesn't have the power to throw off his timing like we saw last night.
He could keep Floyd at a distance. Guys like Paul Williams, Lara, Trout, and even Khan to a certain extend present style issues for Floyd with their length and footspeed.

Floyd wouldn't like that fight and I wouldn't like watching it.

good post..floyd would take away lara's straight left ( his only punch). lara showed nothing last night and he would be on his bike for 12 rounds against floyd because that is how he fights..

No. Lara threw probably less than 15 hooks that whole fight.

Erislandy is a good one-dimensional fighter. Floyd is good at always making fighters take the lead or the defensive whenever he wants which will ultimately take Lara out of his game and lose him the fight.
