Honestly i lost respect for Lara,he called the fight talking trash for years and when he get in the ring with CANELO he never accepted TO FIGHT but he spent 36 minutes running...SHAME!!!

I lost respect for Lara and I am totally disappointed because by running so much Lara looked like he was in survival mode most of the fight. I also lost $300.00 believing that Lara was going to do what he kept repeating (now we know that the Cuban or his pupeteer only has a big mouth). I was thinking during this fight that if I was a judge I would be thinking that Canelo's body punches were so effective making Lara to backpedal scared of receiving more. There is a lot o subjective judging in boxing and the worst thing a boxer can do is to give the impression of being afraid or in survival mode and it is a matter of perception for judges to believe it. Lara ended up paying for his big inactivity offensively speaking and his exaggerated way of running to stay away from Canelo's punches. I guess Lara could continue being jealous and envious of what Alvarez do while still thinking that his amateur pedigree and amateur style is enough to win big fights.

Lara landed more punches, but began to simply run when he couldn't get a decent setup because Canelo's pressure began to make him uncomfortable and he controlled the ring in a lot of the rounds. Hardly any adjustments from both fighters. For me this fight could've gone either way. However Levi Martinez's score was too wide. If there is a rematch and Lara does the same thing he did in this fight in the next like he says he will, he's not guaranteed a win. Especially when judges have a different ways of seeing things..but that's no secret.

I wouldn't respect someone who disrespected my country and even more laughably disrespected the sport of boxing by making it sound like hit and don't be hit isn't the objective of the sport. I guess I would be bitter too if I was a limited fighter that looks foolish every time a world class boxer decides to expose me for being slow, flat footed, and having a low ring IQ.
