BoxingScene.com has been advised that WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (56-8, 47KOs) is one possibility to round off a tripleheader on September 6th.

As reported by BoxingScene on Thursday, Adrien Broner and Lucas Matthysse will appear in separate Showtime televised fights on the previously mentioned September date.

Stemming from last August's first round stoppage of Abner Mares, Golden Boy Promotions picked up three options on Gonzalez.
