This fight has been hyped more and they try to do a little drama with both guys trash talking.

The Angulo fight was more perceived like an all out mexican war that should not be missed and needed little promotion

        This fight has no buzz

Everyone is talking about Lebron, Melo and Brazil getting sparked out by Germany.

Doubt it.... but would be impressed if it did.

Canelo started off the PPV season... but they've been taking a pounding since. The target number isn't that high though, so who knows

Yes it will. Its a live fight. We'd seen the best of Angulo prior to his Canelo fight. Lara's gonna bring it and lose.

I believe Canelo fighting a real huge threat will actually create much more PPV buys than the Angulo fight. Many thought Angulo was on the way out after quiting with his horrible eye injury suffered in the Lara fight. So what will it say if a guy like Lara who isn't a draw & isn't an all actin fighter say? It will make a statement that when a big name fighter truly challenges himself, the fans take notice! Sure there will be some casuals that won't make a huge distinction between Anglo & Lara. There will also be a huge number of fans buying this PPV because it is a toss up fight that could end up playing out several different ways. This is one fight I really can't call. Gun to my head I'll go with Canelo but I won't be suprised if Lara pulls it out with his skill set. This is absolutely must see for me and I will be coming out of pocket for the first time this year for this PPV. What do you think over or under compared to the Angulo PPV? I say it outperforms it comfortably.
Yes the fight will sell better because Lara is much better than Angulo and has a better chance to win. What do you mean by saying at last Canelo is stepping up to the plate and facing a live fighter in Lara??? That is insulting to Canelo since he tried to fight Williams and Kirland years ago and has already fought Mayweather and Trout. All four of these men were live fighters so clearly Canelo fears no fighter and has been trying to fight the best fighters in his weight class for years now.

IT SHOULD! But what do I know I thought Cotto vs Martinez was going to do big numbers

Hopefully it does because it is a big match up. Just not sure if it has grabbed the attention of the casual fans yet though. Outside from the regular internet boxing community it is really no buzz for this fight

I think it will do alright compared to the Angulo fight, I would say a good 15-20% more.
