Been telling people this, but all people see is Lucas looking out for his own health in his last fight.

I think he was hyped correctly for the most part. He was/is an exciting fighter with one punch KO power who can box but doesn't shy away from engaging.

Obviously there were people who went over the top with it and said ****** things like he could beat Floyd (lol) or could box better than Maidana (lmao), but there are nut hugging fans like that of any fighter, and there are haters of any fighter waiting to jump on the next bandwagon hoping for a fighter they hate to lose.

Regardless, Lucas saved his eyesight by deciding to not continue, I don't hate him for it. By definition he quit, but not all quitting is equal. Lucas and Duran don't deserve hate for how they quit, on the other hand, people like Broner and Oritz deserve every bit of criticism for it when they did.

I still got Lucas, Broner has enough heart to go the distance. Khabib was still landing on him but he lacked the power. Postol made Lucas quit out of frustration more than anything else. If guys think they can **** with Matthysse and make him quit, well they have another thing coming.
