Comments Thread For: Caballero-Hall For Vacant IBF Title Looms For September

Stuart Hall’s 16-3-2 (7 KOs) promoter, Dennis Hobson informed Boxing Scene just moments ago that the British bantamweight will get a chance to win back his IBF world title when he fights Randy Caballero 21-0 (13 KOs) for the vacant strap possibly in September.

Paul Butler, who earlier last month beat, Hall UD12 recently decided to relinquish his first world title and move back down to his more natural home of super flyweight in an attempt to win more world honours.

no ****tt man he actually lost to Sergio Perales when Jamie Mcdonnell beat Ceja for the Vacant IBF.

Sergio Perales then went on to win 2 fights most notably against Raul Martinez who was 30-3 with 18 kos . Perales now stands at 24-2 with 16 kos

Lee Haskins surely should have been the man to fight for the vacant title against Caballero? He has schooled Hall and beat McDonnell in a close fight, while Hall and McDonnell get chance after chance at vacant belts Haskins gets ignored.

Hall lost to Sergio Perales i don't recall that? Sergio Perales did not come close to winning that fight with Stuart Hall and lost 117 - 111 on 2 cards and 115 - 113 on the third card and won a IBF intercontinental title which pumped him up the rankings Vusi Malinga was the top contender and Hall was next in line. It is what it is. It's what happens when you have multiple organizations with completely different and random rankings. There should only be one belt and one rankings per weight class not 4 to filter out bull**** and corruption having true champions

Says a lot for his promoter that Hall had a high enough ranking to get a title fight in the first place. Then they set him up in a title fight against a guy who had recently lost every round to Santa Cruz and had been KO'd in 1 round by Hasegawa. Hall's never been more than maybe a top 20 bantamweight who wouldn't beat any of the other beltholders but somehow keeps getting title fights. Money must be changing hands
