Trading verbal shots is a sign that the fight ain't gonna be that good and they need to hype it up just to sell tickets.
Hopkins/Taylor, Vargas/Mosley, DelaHoya/Mayorga, etc. Did Pacquiao & Morales even talked shyt to each other? Hell no. They smiled and shook hands during the press conference, but inside the ring, it's a total war. Tired of fighters who talk shyt OUTSIDE the ring but can't back it up INSIDE the ring. -
Verbal shots is in no way a sign this fight will be lackluster. If anything, this fight will be good with De La Hoya's slowing down a bit and Mayorga wild style and chin/power.
Mayorga always talks trash. It was never a sign before that his fights weren't going to be good.Comment

All DLH even said was in response to Mayorga, and all he stated was that he will ko Mayorga. Nothing more, nothing less, and he did not insult or disrespect Mayorga like Mayo did to him.
DLH was very business-like.Comment

I try to spell it out for you, and you still don't recognize Mayorga's gameplan. If you can't see that then I suggest you go take up billiards. I hear that's really popular amongst you these days.Originally posted by JoartCCtrading verbal shots is a lame tactic done by cheaps and fakes. I'm not saying DLH is a fake, bt to descend upon that level.

And Oscar is never the one initiating the trash-talking. Only vargas and Mayorga.
