Agree with this. Its like Arum put it in everyones head that he is unwatchable, but he has only looked great in all the fights I have seen.

The numbers don't lie cuz, it doesn't have to come out of arum's mouth. Hbo has pretty much said the same thing openly.

After this fight , he should sign with Haymon and moves to showtime .
But rigo has to be very careful un China , since bob arum might try foul play with the referee to rob him of a unanimous decision .

I don't think there is even drug test for this fight ? It may be the same as in Omaha , where there wasn't any test at all . And in China ? A communist country ? Where there is no rule ?
Rigo needs a tko , I'm sure bob arum wants him to lose before he moves away with another promoter and network .

This is utterly disgusting. So some guy HBO and Arum tries to feed us (Zou Shiming) is more watchable? PLEASE. This is pathetic. The first fight I saw Rigo in was against ramos (low key Guy Robb and Joel Diaz had a great fight on this card). Rigo put the dukes on Ramos and it was a nice fight. He then gave Teon Kennedy the business. I dont remember the Marroquin fight. WE ALL SAW what he did to Donaire, damn near a masterpiece (had Donaire running, literally). The Agebko fight was not good, but thats it. So out of his last 5 fights, he has had one performance that was not "fan friendly," maybe 2. Im far more interested in Rigo than damn Shiming.

The chinese come out in droves to see Zou. If the Cubans did the same for Rigo he wouldnt be having this problem now would he?

After the Donaire win, HBO/Arum should have been hyping him more as a masterful boxer. The performance he put on against Donaire should have received accolades from Arum and HBO, but it seemed as though they were upset he won. After that performance he should have gotten way more than 500k viewers for his next fight.

It has nothing to do with who's the more entertaining. Its about who brings in higher ratings and who generates more money. If everyone felt Rigo was the more entertaining boxer, he wouldnt empty out an entire arena as soon as he starts fighting or viewers wouldnt tune out.

People sit here and bash the promoter....show me one boxer with zero personality that's ever broken through without having knocked out half of the boxing world. When Tyson was knocking people out that was his value, so he didn't need to have a personality just get into the ring and pancake his man. At least Ward is trying to get better recognition outside of the ring that'll draw attention to him. Every box office fighter has had to go above and beyond his talents to crossover. You spend less time in the ring than in the real world, let the people get to know you. Leave the poolside and show up where there are cameras on your own. People mention shimming, ok. Well Shimming came to the game with his own market, they don't have to sell him to the public. The public that's his audience already lines up. Can the same be said for Rigo or Ward? Nope.

I get zou is the main event since it's in china that's cool. But fog can't even be on hbo undercard? They're gonna show some other unknown chi issue guy instead
