Was Roy Jones so Satanically Fast that he never actually learned to Box?

When I look at the 7 ugly losses on RJJs record, (All winnable fights IMO) I wonder if this guy had any boxing talent whatsoever apart from his Wicked reflexes and power.

Ali and Mayweather have won fights without speed. Marquez, Hopkins even Carl Froch have won fights after their physical reflexes have left them. Why couldnt Roy do the same?Was he so fast (early on) he never learned the basic fundamentals of the game?

He got KO'd trying to box like he was still young.

He never had the fundamentals down and relied heavy on his athleticism and when that faded he had nothing to fall back on.

Take Mayweather for instant he relies on his athleticism and reflexes alot but he is so well schooled in the fundamentals that when he fading just a bit he still a great boxer.
