Why doesn't Floyd have to defend his WBA Welterweight title against Thurman who is the WBA #1 contender? Also, How long can Floyd hold the WBA and WBC JR. MW title before he has to defend it?

bingo...Manny never defends against a mandatory yet when Floyd fought a mandatory in Guerrero then Canelo it was criticized..and Yes Canelo was his mandatory
