I actually watched that last night again to see something I missed. I only flicked through it, that last round was absolutely atrocious LOL
It was a strange fight, because the few times Wlad put punches together, he hurt and dropped Povetkin. Povetkin was ready to go from round 5 onwards, he was extremely exhausted.

I don't know what it was with Wlad that night, but it was disappointing imo. A knockout of Povetkin would probably be the best knockout of Wlad's career.

      It possibly would be.

And it was strange, because I noticed the same thing, Povetkin was puffy bad after midway.

I think you already disagreed once but I affirmed last night it was Povetkin initiating clinches early on in the fight when he was healthy, he kept trying to bulrush K.

But strangely later on when WK should have been authoritative and confident and keeping him at bay, HE seemed to be the one LOOKING to tie things up, as if he didn't really want to be there or something.

I think that, by the last rounds, they were both so accustomed to it that they just could no longer break the cycle.

I still call it a dominant win for WK, of sorts, but I grudgingly acknowledge that this was the stinkiest performance of seen in boxing, worse than anything Muhammad produced... And THAT'S saying something.

I don't however, expect the Pulev fight to be nearly as bad.
