There is a likelihood Bryan Vasquez could defend his super featherweight world title belt against Diego Maldonado this fall, manager/ trainer Joe Hernandez told BoxingScene.com last week.

According to Hernandez, the Vasquez-Maldonado bout was originally targeted for November 22 in Macao, China. It is the same date and place Manny Pacquiao is scheduled to return to the ring.

It looks as though Top Rank, which promotes both fighters, wants to stage the bout on a fight card in Singapore in mid-October.

Magdaleno and his brothers are great fighters. I actually fought his younger brother a number of years ago now and won a decision.

Diego Magdaleno is making the right moves but is not making as much noise as expected for some reason. He was unlucky against Martinez but I'm sure he will be World Champion one day.

I thought he was shafted vs Martinez and I gotta give him props for this fight too. Good fight.

Jessie should be able to make some noise if he prevails once he steps up.
