An offer of $6 mil was made to Hopkins - he turned it down. he wanted to fight much smaller fighters to make a great 'legacy'.

Another huge offer was made to Roid Jones. Again, he didnt want to know.
Take off those rose-colored glass, bud.

This post ends the thread: "P.S. remember, fighting lacy wasnt joe's idea, it was lacy's. if lacy hadnt challenged him, joe cal***gy would still be extending his lengthy and fraudulent title reign fighting nobodies."

laugh out loud (cause damn, can't just write letters after something that ridiculous) If Calzaghe was interested in becoming known somewhere outside of the UK, he would've come over to America years ago like he said he would. It benefits American fighters NOTHING to go over there. Jeff's just the kind of guy that won't hide in his home country. He wants this thing to happen, so He'll be the man and go over there to win. Period.

I doubt it. It's going to be a close fight and either guy could be stopped or lose a hard-fought decision.

Likely this fight will not be easy, that goes for whoever wins.

There is plenty of blame to go around here fellas, plenty of ****ing blame.

                  1) Ive been waiting for 8 years for Joe to get involved in a big fight and it hasnt happened...so...the buck in some regards has to drop with Joe...he did not come to the States and in turn he probably cost himself a much earlier date with destiny.

                  2) We all know Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones are not the easiest fighters to deal with when it comes to fight contracts...in fact they may be the two biggest ****heads in the sport when it comes to finalizing a deal.

Bernard has always thought he is worthy 3 times of what his actual worth was which doesnt help negotiations and Roy, well, lets just say Roy is one difficult dude.

As for fighters like Glenn Johnson...Im sorry had Joe of beaten Glenn (which he would have) he would have beaten a guy with 8 or 9 or 10 losses and people would have **** on him for it so dont **** on him because the fight never happened.

Couple all this with the fact that Joe grew up in a Super Middlweweight Division that absolutely ****** (ala Bernard Hopkins @160, except Nard had a couple of legacy driven animals in Oscar and Tito come up and take risks they never had to even consider taking) and you have a fighter that was 1 part to blame and 1 part unlucky.

Lots of blame to go around boys but March 4th is almost hear...this almost feels like a Denver Bronco playoff game doesnt it?
