According to Osvaldo Küchle, promoter of WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (56-8, 47KOs), discussions are still ongoing for a possible fight with multi-division champion Jorge 'Travieso' Arce (64-7-2, 49KOs), and there is now a working date of September 20 in Sinaloa. Names like Cristian Mijares, Jayson Velez, Ronny Rios and Rocky Juarez, have been included as well as possible opponents.

we all know that arce is the leading candidate to fight johhny,but i'd like to see him fight velez, he's young and hungry and is probably capable of pulling off the upset!

Arce would b the $$ bout but in MX, that's the draw...Jhonny being careful but is FM in the gym...I've seen or heard nothing that he is, read the cut he got from the butt is not healing as well as it should...
