Are you sure about that? Because I'm pretty sure we've seen more than that in just 14 days.

Let's go over some recent fights, shall we?

      Mayweather-Maidana
      Khan-Collazo
      Paulie-Shawn Porter
Hopkins (yes, he works with Haymon)-Shumenov

That's just two cards over a period of two weeks.

      Then of course you have:

      Trout-Lara
      Bika-Dirrell
      Matthyse-Molina

Here are some other fights on the he horizon involving two Haymon fighters squaring off:

      Mayweather-Maidana 2
      Hopkins-Stevenson
      Broner-Lopez

And there are several more currently being negotiated.

These are just the facts. Now does the fact that you're wrong make me a Haymon nuthugger?

Or could it be that you're just a tad bit biased, or -- dare I say? -- perhaps *gasp* a player hater?

Be that as it may, the facts are the facts.
Most of those fights are absolute **** homie, come on. I mean seriously Khan vs Collozo and Mattyse vs Molina, those fights were supposed to be easy fights. Then when they get easy fights and look like **** they get EASIER fights like the ENTIRE Garcia/Salka card. I meant meaningful fights to the sport, we haven't gotten May/Pac because of this **** and we get the same rehashed fights because they won't do business with anyone else. Obviously, they have to fight at some point, but I don't want built talent, I want MADE talent that's who the real champions are. Don't force feed me 5 fights with bums then 1 super fight, it should be the opposite if you want me to pay ONLY for boxing.

It is so many advantages of having one Governing Body, one thing it can get rid of is "COLD WARS". All of this is just speculation, NOBODY knows what Haymon is up to, the only thing fans can do is sit back and wait and see how this thing plays out. Clearly he is up to something by signing all these fighters and the word has clearly gotten out to the fighters that what ever he is doing must be beneficial to the fighters because a lot of them are jumping to him.
Better testing... do you keep up with any UFC news? I don't watch it, but I do know Ronda Rousey is really just a hype job at the moment, who is ducking her only competition but calling out someone who hasn't fought in 5 years. Worse though is the fact that this "clean" model, just had their 2 main even guys each suspended and Sonnen retired for ****ing testorone. Nevada, NOT the UFC tigtened up their standards and these guys knew it about and yet THE first two guys to take up the testing boom, busted.

I'll stay with the current model with Arum because at least he has shown if there is money to be made he'll work with you. And also Arum actually matches his fighters, he might give us the occassional tune-up or rebound fight and that's fine. But I can promise you that if Haymon were in charge we would have had to pay for Cotto/Foreman and Cotto/Rodriguez. Canelo is starting to face some solid competition finally, but he is with Golden Boy not Haymon. For Haymon we've got Floyd/Maidana 2 and the pro's vs joe's card... The guy is Floyd's advisor the easy fight for a lot of money isn't something Floyd came up with alone.

          • Hectari told someone "not to be biased" in this thread.

I almost burst out laughing at the irony.

By the way, see http://janbtucker.com/blog/2014/06/0...raint-of-trade for even more info on this situation. Most knew that there was more to the story than Schaeffer not wanting to work with Arum. Thanks to Mr. Hauser we now have a little more insight into the matter. Oh, so Haymon and Schaeffer were trying to buy out Oscar? Hm. Makes sense now. Anyone calling this trash journalism should try reading the bias nut-huggery they publish on floyd-hype.com, then you will realize that this article is a breathe of fresh air.
Good post everyone should read that link its well informed Haymon and Davis were connected, no wonder Davis got fired.

I remember B hop said something about how he and Davis and haymon were old friends.

I am unbiased. I call it how I see it. I have no dog in this fight.

The ones who make me laugh are those who defend the crooked shady guys like Haymon and Shaeffer.

I really like the slow evolution boxing has made over the years thanks to Al and Richard. In the past few years i seen promotions like no other with Mayweather Canelo being the best promotion yet. I have gotten to watch Boxing in movie theaters multiple times.
Most importantly and a fact that people don't seem to get is, that we have seen more good fights with GBP and Al Haymon then we have so called "missed" with the so call "Cold Wars". We got great fight like Floyd-Canelo, Broner-Maidana, Maidana-Karass, Berto-Ortiz Porter-Alexander and we had smaller little detailed fights that should have happened like Malignani vs Juda in NYC. I mean hell Al Haymon made me watch Bhop which i swore i would never do again after that travesty of a rematch with Roy Jones.

So in the short term while Al and Richard make their adjustment of not having GBP as there main promoter and not wanting to put to much money into the company and risking there fighters under that banner, i will deal with the string of crappy fights we will see until they drop the bombs on us.
That last paragraph, and especially the highlighted part, is why "New Breed" fans like you are ruining boxing for the true fans. You're willing to pay for crap out of loyalty and idolization of "the smartest" con men to cash out on boxing, too ****** to see the bait and switch being pulled on you.

It's so hilariously ironic that you praise Haymon as being Lord Sidious, and thank the writer for the article, being too ****** to see the writer is warning the intelligentsia of bad things to come.

The "New Breeders" will be applauding Lord Sidious and bask in the glory of being his sheep, and the TRUE boxing fans will be Queen Padme Amidala saying, "So this is how liberty dies...with thunderous applause."

                      'Nuff said.
