Ever few years a new power emerges in boxing and now its Haymons turn. And newsflash, all these dudes are corrupt so who cares who holds the power?

The common theme is that Floyd fans hate Arum and Pac fans hate Haymon. But they are both the same person and have blocked some great fights from happening.

What I do like about Haymon is that he gets all great boxers opportunities and isn't the blood and guts nut that Top Rank and HBO execs have become. We need that balance in boxing.

One has to wonder what Oscar and Arum aren't offering fighters that Haymon is offering? Maybe it's the lower cut of the purse. He has to be doing something that the fighters like, or so many good ones wouldn't be signing up. I would love to see boxing back on NBC, CBS, and ABC. Only the biggest fights should be on HBO and Showtime, and only the best of the best should be PPV.

The difference between Arum and Haymon is we KNOW what Arum has done, and we ASSUME what Haymon is doing.

It would be nice to see him do an in-depth exposé on Bob Arum or on Pacquiao's tax troubles for example. To at least make it look like he's impartial.

Damn, Hauser hits it out the park again, great article. There are few writers left who write and elegantly as Hauser and with as much insight into the behind the scenes goings on in boxing. There are too many twitter trolls in boxing these days or guys who have little knowledge of what goes on beyond the ropes. Hauser is a dying breed and this is one of his best pieces yet.

Haymon sounds like a villain. He is a very shady person and not good for boxing at all.

I wish more people would understand this instead of blindly following him.

Al Haymon just looks like a greasy, shady sleazeball. Funny how he resembles ***** in that pic.

Article does a great job of outlining Haymon's grand plan, but if you ask me, I don't see him making it past the litigation coming his way.

It's rife for the pickings and ready to be taken

Arum could've done it, King could've done it, but it looks like Haymon will be the one to do it

This could only be bad for Boxing, get ready for more Garcia/Salka matchups to create "Stars" rather than epic fights. I ****ing hate this hip-hop transition Boxing is going through, ****ing haaaaaaaaaate it

Exactly. Would love if the NBC deal went through.
