If this is true- then they're open to working with Haymon. Even if they don't want to build fighters only for them to bolt to show time

        (I could be wrong)
There could be circumstances where hbo will work with Haymon, but make no mistake about it, hbo won't even entertain the idea of allowing haymon getting leverage over there network again.

Those days were a complete disaster. Look at what's going on at Showtime now with there ratings, and fights like Garcia/salka, and GBP's problems, and the lawsuits with multiple promoters/managers, all that crap is tied back to Haymon.

HBO saved there boxing brand when they dumped Haymon and they know it.

Incredibly shady should've been the quote. Can't name one recording artist that dealt with Haymon's concert promotion wing that didn't end up having money problems in the end. From Chris Brown, to Rihanna to Beyonce..all of these artists made a whole lot more money when they left his @ss. The sanctity of privacy that Haymon and his business practices have enjoyed for the past two decades is slowly going to come out to the public. I'm not against new powers in boxing, but I am against treating this guy like a god simply because idiots don't understand the absolute devil they are dealing with.

I am 100% supportive of Haymon and his duties. His fighters respect him and show him nothing but love. They have nothing bad to say about him, nor the record purses he's able to make for his fighters. I don't understand why the fighters like him, yet the fans don't. Well, I do have an idea but it's not something your average casual fan would like to admit.

How many fights since then? that was almost a year ago. Herschman himself said he wouldn't work with Haymon. come on, Herschman even fired Kerry Davis because he was close with al.

As to the question-what does history tell you? as i asked earlier-you gonna use just the proposed 8/9 card or are you going to use other cards?

Yes, quillin is with Haymon. He also fights on showtime. K2 may have sent contract-if it was rejected-shame. Why was it rejected?AGain as we saw with Kovalev/stevenson HBO blew it and everyone decided to blame Haymon. we know why that happens on NSB. Blame haymon when he deserves it and we have no problem.
Quillin is a prime example of the Haymon way: Take the low risk fights & get paid! He is one of the most protected belt holders in boxing.

As for the HBO Kovalev vs Stevenson issue, how do you figure HBO blew it? Stevenson wanted big $$$ to fight Fonfara. HBO was willing to negotiate this, but also wanted a guarantee that he'd later face Kovalev. Stevenson refused. Apparently Showtime offered him closer to what he wanted & HBO passed on making a counter-offer. Why should they have countered? They put Stevenson on the map, yet he entertains a higher offer from their chief rival network to get them into a bidding war? Furthermore, he didn't and still doesn't want Kovalev, because a loss would hurt his career badly at this stage. Given how Fonfara worked him, I'd say HBO made the right choice; his days are numbered. Bhop can outbox him, but is that fight PPV-worthy?

Respectfully, this practice started when networks signed fighters to contracts. They did this to protect their long term investment. This was long before haymon was involved in boxing.

QUillin is an example, but the same can be said for GGG.

They shouldn't have agreed to tune ups withut having a deal in place for the Kov/stevenson fight. If you agree with their decision-thats fine. Its still their own fault. They failed to secure the fight they wanted.

There was a lot of information in this blog post. Hauser obviously did a lot of homework. However, it was all one-sided and appeared to be one long criticism of Al Haymon instead of an unbiased examination of Haymon.

One of the things that stood out is that Hauser kept referring to Haymon as a manager, when in fact, Haymon is an advisor. Hauser knows there is a difference and that the same rules that apply to managers don't apply to advisors. That is why Haymon refers to himself as an advisor instead of a manager. Unfortunately, Hauser ignored this point as he criticized Haymon for violating the laws as they apply to managers to suit Hauser's own purposes.

He also mention how Haymon advised Lamon Brewster and that Brewster fought several fights with an injured eye that led to Brewster's present partial blindness. That is a backhanded way of implying that Haymon coerced Brewster into fighting with an injured eye while presenting no evidence to back it up.

There was some good information in this blog post. However, overall, it was nothing but another effort to take a shot at someone the blogger doesn't like.
